If you are a content curator, or considering content curation there are three simple ways that LinkedIn can help you build and audience.

For those that may not know about LinkedIn the short video below is a good introduction of what it is and why you might want to use it.

Depending on your area of of focus, LinkedIn can be a powerful way to promote your content as well as build an audience. There are three simple ways of doing this:

1. You can showcase your latest post or article to all your LinkedIn connections by inserting the link as an update and choosing to make it visible to all your connections. This works well if the content is generic and will appeal to most of your connections.

2. You can select individual connections and share the link with them. By carefully selecting the connections you share the link with, you can ensure that it is something they are most probably going to be interested in and that they may give you feedback. Furthermore they may go on to share it with their connections.

3. You can select Groups that you have joined and share the link them. This is recommended if there is a clear fit between the content you are sharing and the Group itself and or you would like to start a discussion. So for example do not share a post about say online gambling with a Group based in a country where gambling is prohibited by law.

LinkedIn is a powerful social media network of over 150 million professionals, and if used wisely, it can enhance your content curation distribution and promotion activity.
